BLEWER FOOD CENTER REPORTS

BLEWER FOOD CENTER HISTORY

Blewer Food Center

The Gordon Memorial Baptist Association demonstrates the love of Christ through the Blewer Food Center by serving familes and individuals in need of food. Not only does the food center distribute food, but also provides hope, acceptance, and spiritual guidance.

The Blewer Food Center is sponsored by the Gordon Memorial Baptist Association (GMBA). The center is an example of an Association of Churches working together under the leadership of the Lord, being able to do what one church cannot do alone.

Blewer Food Center is located in the GMBA (373 Morrow Road) and is operated by volunteers from the churches of the associations. Hours of operation for the food center are: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. To contact the Blewer Food Center call: 706-629-5407.

Families and individuals served must be residents of Gordon County and are referred from helping agencies, churches, schools and other individuals. Those being served can only receive food one time in sixty days and will be interviewed by our volunteers.

Volunteers Are Always Needed
We encourage volunteers to serve in this ministry in a variety of ways:

  • sharing a Christian witness
  • interviewing clients
  • working in stock room
If you are interested in working in one of the above capacities, please call the office of the Blewer Food Center: 706-629-5407 between the hours of 10:00 am - 2:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

Congratulations to the following volunteers of the Blewer Food Center for serving ten years or more.
